Caterpillars Room
For our 3 month to two year olds we have a staff:child ratio of 1:3 at all times. Our baby room is set out to be a stimulating safe and loving environment to allow babies to explore and participate. It is divided into three areas. There is room to move about, rolling, crawling and learning to walk. There are plenty of cushions, mobiles and an area for sleeping in individual cots. Every baby has his/her own clean bedding. We try to follow your baby’s own routine as much as possible and each baby has his/her own book to record details such as sleep times, nappy changes on a daily basis.
All of your child’s milk is included, although we do ask that you provide your own nappies. We will discuss with you how you are weaning your baby to solid foods. Our food is freshly prepared on the premises, including weaning foods. Breastfeeding mums are welcome to feed their child at the nursery.
We follow the ‘Birth to Three Matters Framework’ and all of the toys and equipment are of a high standard and chosen to help meet the framework. We have a separate garden area for the under 2’s to play safely, to enable lots of physical activity. Please remember to ensure your child wears suitable clothing and has spare clothes.
